Terrorist Sympathizers!

Here they are! The ten elected pacifist obstructionists who believe security, intelligence and police work in a country with the most porous borders in the world doesn't require a balance with liberty. The new Patriot Act was passed overwhelmingly with a vote of 89-10. Let's just hope there are no more attacks like 9/11, and especially in the states these shit for brains represent!

Akaka (D-HI), Bingaman (D-NM), Byrd (D-WV), Feingold (D-WI) , Harkin (D-IA), Jeffords (I-VT), Leahy (D-VT), Levin (D-MI), Murray (D-WA), Wyden (D-OR)

My wife's brother is an FBI agent working counter-terrorism. Anything that helps him do his job effectively without unconstitutionally infringing on my rights is fine with me. Roving wiretaps is the most crucial part of the Patriot Act, and our laws have to keep up with technology.

I can appreciate the dissent of these legislators if their aim is to preserve privacy and individual rights and to keep government honest (I would give no agency a blank check to enforce the law at the cost of all personal liberty) -- I'm just thankful a simple majority is all that's required to pass laws like this one which are necessary considering the threats our nation faces and do not trample rights in the process.

Newsflash - *89 FOR & 10 AGAINST*

Thank God for simple majorities!

We should add those 10 to the deck!
