He would get my vote!
If only there were a lot more congressional candidates like Vernon Robinson. Glock26 shot me a link to the best campaign tv ad I've seen and it's Vernon's! check out Vernon's latest Ad here. If he was in my area of California, instead of North Carolina, he would get my vote....of course living in Silicon Valley is the twilight zone so sadly his common sense would be his undoing in this area!

Umm... that's fine. My question to you though is you seem to generally be a fiscal conservative. Good, I am too. But of the other issues there, only terrorism seems to be a real URGENT problem. Don't you think a real economic policy and a better plan on infrastructure, education, and business incentives are more important than the strawman of homosexual terror?
Why you would link gay marriage and terrorism is beyond me. Terrorism is the number one issue but I take the conversative view that is mostly lost on today's GOP on most issues. As for gay marriage, I'm against it in a big way...it's not about "marriage" or even equality, it's about being special.
Yo Tiny. I don't he/she was making a link between terrorism and homosexuality. The TV spot links the two as major issues confronting our country according to Vernon Robinson.
No, he/she used the phrase "strawman of homosexual terror", if he/she had just listed homosexuality and terror separated by a comma I would agree with you.
As the original poster, I'll say I was indeed talking about gay marriage as the strawman and not terrorism. The line "homosexual terror" was wordplay, but the internet is bad at conveying these sorts of ideas. Sorry. Anyway, my only point is, if you have 30 odd seconds to talk about pressing issues, I see terrorism, war, the economy, education, and maybe Social Security as the most serious concerns to conservatives. Defense and fiscal policy are the conservative hallmarks. I think it's a weaker party now that is rallying people around more marginal issues like the ones Mr. Robinson trots out.
fair enough original poster person...however many conservatives don't view those as marginal issues, but as tip of the iceberg issues.
